Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Now in It’s 117th Year!

Talk about tradition.  The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival began in 1897!  It is now the second largest winter carnival in the world.

The dates this year are January 31 to February 9.  This small, beautiful Adirondack community welcomes thousands of revelers to enjoy winter sports, live music, craft shows, a wide array of food, and fun for all members of the family.  This winter destination village sits in two upstate counties, Essex and Franklin.

The parade is great fun with local floats and marching bands, and the fireworks at night are awesome!
