Cooperstown proudly announces that the 2013 Carnival will be held on February 8, 9, and 10, 2013. The annual festival will combine the usual favorite activities with new and exciting events for children and adults of all ages, centered on this year’s British Invasion theme!  Food, fun, games and live music are all on the menu for this festival!

The Cooperstown Winter Carnival, a long-time traditional winter festival, began in 1967 with the intention of offering a variety of activities for residents and tourists to Cooperstown during the early winter month of February. The Carnival brings people out into the cold and gives them a reason to celebrate with their friends, neighbors, and visitors. Each year the CWC creates new and exciting events, while bringing the same traditions back that people have come to expect.

Cooperstown, famed as “The Birthplace of Baseball,” has many wonderful charms to entrance any visitor, any season.  But winter really sparkles here, with the frozen Glimmerglass (Lake Otsego) as the backdrop and the historic old homes of the village dressed in their finest wintry garb.  This is one of the oldest and most fun winter carnivals you can find in Upstate New York!
