“Plein art” (painting in the outdoors) will take over the picturesque Adirondack Village of Saranac Lake from August 15-18, 2013. It is the 5th Annual Adirondack Plein Art Festival.
Dozens of artists can be viewed creating their own masterpieces along the streets and sidewalks of this mountain village. Even if you do not have any artistic capability of your own, this event draws large crowds of onlookers watching the artists at work all over the community.
Nestled among the lakes and mountains of the Adirondack Park in northern New York state, Saranac Lake has an abundance of charming village scenes, the Saranac Lake “River Walk”, and is surrounded by panoramic mountain views, rivers, lakes, ponds, scenic forest locations, rustic lodges, and small farms. Everyone can find interesting subject matter or scenic views. Experience the Adirondacks like the 19th century Hudson River painters did! Spectators welcome!
