Syracuse to Celebrate Greek Heritage With a Big Festival June 6-9!

It’s Greek Festival time in Syracuse, June 6-9, 2013 at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church.

Enjoy an atmosphere in rich Hellenic culture and customs! Savor the sights, sounds and smells of this wonderful festival where you can eat, have a drink, listen to music, watch dance performances or try a dance yourself! In Central New York, many of these foods and pastries are only available once a year at this festival. So go ahead and indulge!

Take a stroll through the “Greek Village” (which is located inside the church complex), a variety of gift shops including the Orthodox book store and view the lovely Orthodox icons representing the Greek Orthodox faith. Stop by the pastry shop to sample some of the famous fresh pastries and top it off with some Greek coffee from the café.

Don’t forget to save some time to take a tour of the beautiful Church Sanctuary. Most of all, have fun as this fest brings a taste of Greece to Central New York.

Where:  St. Sophias Church, 325 Waring Road, Syracuse
