Bring the kids…the Snowflake Festival in Jamestown is perfect for them!
The Saturday, February 2 Snowflake Festival will have a variety of activities and opportunities, both indoor and out, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Outdoors will be snowshoe demonstrations by Evergreen Outfitters, cross country skiing, dog sled demonstrations and the Fluvanna Boy Scouts Troop #169’s outdoor cooking and free food samples. Audubon naturalists will guide hikes, and horse-drawn sleigh rides will be offered in the afternoon.
Siberian huskies, alpacas, reptiles and amphibians, and perhaps some cats and dogs will be some of the live animals present. Festival goers can also get a behind-the-scenes tour of Liberty, Audubon’s resident non-releasable Bald Eagle.
