The Tri-Lakes Community Alliance is devoted to supporting a thriving quality of life and culture in the North Warren community.  The Alliance is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization of volunteers in the towns of Chester and Horicon working together. Meetings are held every 2nd Friday of the month at 9am at The Panther Mountain Inn.

There are only two rules:

  1. Meetings last for only 1 hour
  2. Only 1 person speaks at a time

This meeting was an open invitation to brainstorm ideas for the Tri-Lakes Community

* Winter Carnival: Cancellation this year. Brainstorm ideas for other spaces or events we could plan as a backup for the
future.
* St. Patrick’s Day Parade: March 16th – Working on Final Lineup. Flyer’s available, ask Mindy at Town Hall for Copies. Step off at 2pm. Next Meeting Wednesday 2/2 4:00PM at the Panther Mt. Inn.
* An Adirondack Woof Stock & Woodstock Revisited on the Mill Pond: Weekend of June 8-9 Save The Date!
* Chestertown’s 225th anniversary Contact Bernie McCann to see what help they need for upcoming summer events. Planning to have Fireworks.
* Chamber of Commerce: Downhill Derby Saturday February 24th 10am-2pm. Craig Legget on Chamber of commerce board. Columbus Day weekend organizing Flannel Fest same weekend as the Great Brant Lake Duck Race. October 12-14th 2024.
* September Fun Community Event (?): Considering Brant Lake Carnival was cancelled this year; some members of the community were talking about organizing another September fall event. Considering it is the 225th anniversary of Chestertown, maybe a theme of something specific that reflects the community.
* CPR Training: Organize an event for CPR Training. Jack Barlett teaches the courses. Create an event, possibly in Spring for CPR Training. Empower our area with a community training day. Possibly get fire departments involved to make a family fun event. Share thoughts and ideas in next meeting.
* Fraud Training: Seminar for the community to educate about fraud and scams. How to avoid information being compromised. Knowing what to do if think something is fraud.
* Nomination as Emily Monte as new Secretary for Tri-Lakes Community Alliance: Approvals were made in person during the meeting and documented approvals by the board via email.
