The Rochester Folk Art Guild will present it’s long-awaited Holiday Festival of Crafts in Rochester on 11/29 & 30 and 12/1/13. Hosted at the Harley School, 1981 Clover Street, the hours are 10 am to 5 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

This is the largest and most comprehensive display and sale of handcrafts that the Middlesex, NY based guild holds all year. The crafts range from functional pottery to natural fiber clothing, wooden bowls, kitchenware and hand woven treasures. There are also folk toys, imported Middle Eastern rugs and books for all ages to choose from. Two guest glass artists join the show, William Glasner with art jewelry and Nancy Newland with constructed glass mirrors, boxes and picture frames.

I have written several books about the region, do a lot of public speaking around the state, am an award-winning radio broadcaster (since 1989), write a bi-monthly newspaper column and give walking tours of Cooperstown, N.Y.
