That’s Italian! Festa Italiana in Olean! (VIDEO)

facebookJuly 20-21, 2013 are the dates for Festa Italiana the big ethnic festival in Olean (Cattaraugus County)!

Come be Italian for the day or two at the Italian Festival in Olean.  Enjoy Italian-American cuisine, food, and music.  Kids games, games of chance, music and more!  This is one of the longest standing Italian festivals in western New York, in fact it is 30 years old this year!

Enjoy lots of Italian music, bocce ball tournaments, kids games and more under a collection of large tents making this a fun “rain or shine” event.

The 30th Annual St. John’s Church Festa Italiana will be held on July 20-21, 2013 at 931 North Union Street, Olean, NY.

With a population of around 15,000, Olean is the largest city in Cattaraugus County.  For decades it held the Miss New York pageant and in fact Tawny Godin, Miss America 1976, was crowned here.  St. Bonaventure is a large university and major employer in the area.

To get a sense of the crowds that come to this beautiful community for the Italian Festival, check out this video from a previous festival (2010).
