Kraut is King at Phelps Sauerkraut Festival!

The Phelps, NY Sauerkraut Fesitval is August 1-4, 2013.

Phelps was the center of a large sauerkraut industry for many years and this fun festival celebrates “King Kraut” in a family friendly way. There are parades, the coronation of the King and Queen of Sauerkraut, a Mustang car rally, kids activities, fireworks and more. Of special note…don’t miss the sauerkraut bowling competition

And (if you dare) try a slice of sauerkraut cake!

This festival is nearly 50 years running, and celebrates the community that was once known as the “Sauerkraut Capital of the World.”
