Christmas is on its way to the village of Mexico and is bringing a favorite holiday story with it. Christmas in Mexico promises fun character interaction, shopping and crafts, pictures with Santa, and a coloring contest for the children.
“Friends of Bob Cratchit will play an interactive roll during the event and we encourage everyone to play along,” Lucinda Brown said, organizer of Friends of Bob Cratchit. “All of the characters from Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol will be there. Its fun to walk through the village and look for the chimney sweeps, shoppers, strolling business men, orphans and peasants.”
The highlight of the holiday season is Christmas in Mexico, a day long, village-wide event, including a parade followed by the lighting of the village Christmas tree, and a visit with Santa for the kids! Church bazaars, specials offered by local merchants, horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling and Friends of Bob Cratchit wandering the village in period costume round out a not to be missed event!
