Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival To Perform Holiday Favorite In Historic Home!

One of the most popular events of the holiday season begins on November 30 and runs for nine performances. It is the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s live performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

The venue for this new holiday tradition (now in its fourth year) is the historic Boscobel Mansion in Garrison. Built between 1804-1808, the mansion has been called “the finest example of residential Federal Style architecture in the East.” The gardens are also internationally known and the combination of mansion and gardens makes Boscobel a very popular Hudson Valley tourist destination.

Performed live in the grand entry hall at Boscobel House, this lively reading of excerpts from Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” delivers a fresh view of this holiday tale that is funny, moving, charming, and inspiring.

Options: Matinees $40.00, or $50 which includes cookies, cider and a tour of the mansion. Evenings, $80.00, includes the holiday feast.
